CEO's Message
Seeing an organization in its infancy and yet achieving the heights of progress as Agahe Pakistan is, was something we hoped for at the incorporation of the organization. We celebrated many such feats over the years such as Agahe Pakistan’s PACRA rating, PCP certification, tax exemption from FBR, seal of pricing transparency by MFT, gold price disclosure award by MFR to mention a few. Agahe Pakistan in no time has revolutionized its microfinance program, integrating technology and innovation through branchless banking channels, initiating solar home solutions and other initiatives which other organizations struggled to achieve. It is a great honor for Agahe Pakistan that the organization is widely recognized for its strong commitment to ensuring quality & accountability through a robust grievance redressal mechanism. Similarly, five clients of Agahe Pakistan have been conferred with Citi Micro-entrepreneurship Awards for their exemplary transitions from poverty to prosperity.
As the current financial year draws to an end, it is an immense pleasure for me to state that we have witnessed unprecedented growth across all sectors, with an active client portfolio of 51,071, OLP of 1.6 Billion, and a recovery rate of 99.9%. Almost 99% of our beneficiaries are women in abject poverty, usually considered to have little or no say in decision making. Agahe Pakistan’s contribution to their lives is not only through economic well-being, but also by providing the platforms to be financially independent. In collaboration with PMIC, Agahe Pakistan successfully managed and implemented various capacity building initiatives for its borrowers engaged in livestock, agriculture, and enterprise activities.
SECP guidelines, coupled with commitments with our funding agencies and other sector partners are integral to our development and growth in the days ahead. I envision a future where Agahe Pakistan has a wider array of new partnerships across various geographies, and also has a larger client base acquired through the mix of new technologies. I would like to extend Agahe Pakistan’s gratitude to all its supporters, donors, staff and friends without whom the outcomes would not have been possible. I would especially extend my thanks to the Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (Ltd.), Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, SIMA, and Commercial Banks for their continued support and cooperation. We are also indebted to Pakistan Microfinance Network, UBL Omni, Telenor Easy-paisa, Green-Light Planet, Allied Solar, Harness Energy, and Zonergy for assisting Agahe Pakistan towards realizing its goals, and for the trust and confidence reposed in us.
